In December of 1998, Carnival further enhanced its broad market appeal with the debut
of the eighth and final vessel of the "Fantasy Class",
the MS Paradise. A totally smoke free environment suited
to health-conscious clients and carries on Carnival's tradition of cruise vacation
innovations even as it marks the end of an era.
"The Fantasy Class was our $2.5 billion dollar investment in the future of
cruising," said Carnival President Bob Dickinson. "These ships
provide all of the services, amenities, and activities that millions of our guests want
most in their vacations."
